Follow up tasks:

1) Write a poem
I would like you to complete two tasks. The first one is creative. Write a short poem using some of the words and ideas from your trip booklet. Use the photographs for inspiration. You should focus on one of the following areas:
South Bank (edge of CBD)
The City (CBD)
Brick Lane / Banglatown (Inner city)
Docklands (Large scale redevelopment)

Choose one of the photos from the links above to be a display background to your poem, or use one of your own images. You can email me your photo and poem if you like, or submit it via the comments form.

Here is some inspiration for you:
London Docklands
Liverpool Docks / Toxteth

2) Exam question:

  1. What can planners do to improve the environment of inner city areas? (4 marks)
  2. In many MEDC cities there are problems in the CBD. Using one or more examples, describe some of the schemes being used to improve these areas. (6 marks)
